* If you call the main number of the inn, the phone will generally be answered by inn proprietors Bernard Levenez (our main tour coordinator/driver/translator) or Pascal Merilou (our resident head chef). Pascal understands English better in person than on the phone, so he may ask Bernard talk to you.

Please note, the walls of Le Moulin Bregeon are very thick and sometimes calls do not go through to cell phones. There is an answering machine if they are out. Also, the ring tone in France is a long tone more similar to the U.S. busy tone – don’t hang up!

International Phone Calls and Internet Access

Cingular and Nextel cell phones generally can work in France. Some Verizon and AT&T phones work – but you may need to contact your carrier and make arrangements for international phone/data coverage. Other people can talk to their cell company and rent an international cell phone. However, it may be easy and cheaper to use a phone card in France.

You can easily buy a phone card from an airport newspaper shop at Charles de Gaulle before you get on the train. Probably 10 euros will be sufficient for the week, and allow you to make some calls home from the inn. Do not buy the type of phone card you need to insert into a public pay phone, as it will not work from the inn. Please note, at the inn we share one line.  When you arrive, you will be shown which headset you can use.  People can call you at the inn in the evenings – but bear in mind the time difference between France and the US. Emergency messages can be left during the night. but there won’t be anyone in the office covering the phone.

If you want to bring your computer to Le Moulin, they have internet access. If everyone is on it at the same time, the speed drops but it is available and free.  Typically access is weakest when dinner is served, as everyone posts photos of their delicious meals on the internet!  Some of Le Moulin's walls are very thick and the transmitter may only work for internet access in some locations.
